ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES, DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES


  • Community Economic Development Program (CEDP). CEDP provides core financial support to First Nation communities for:
    • community economic-development planning
    • capacity-development initiatives
    • developing proposals
    • leveraging financial resources
    • carrying out economic-development activities
  • Community Economic Opportunities Program (CEOP). This program provides project-based support to First Nation communities to increase their participation in the economy. Funding can:
    • support economic and employment opportunities
    • business development
    • development of land and resources under community control
    • access to resource opportunities
    • promotion of investment in communities
  • Community Support Services Program. This program gives support to national and regional plans that deliver support services to First Nation community economic-development organizations. The goal is to increase the economic capacity of community organizations to carry out one-time projects and ongoing activities related to economic development.
