Application Guidelines
Everyone wishing to apply to be a Founding Member of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band must submit a completed application form.
The application will require that you fill out a family tree.
Applicants will also be required to submit documentation to support their application.
Families are encouraged to apply together so that support documentation can be submitted at the same time.
It is strongly recommended that applicants begin tracing their family tree and gather all necessary support material as early as possible in order to avoid possible delays or disappointments due to incomplete applications.
If the Enrolment Committee, due to an incomplete application, rejects an application, the applicant has the right to submit again with further support material.
If the Enrolment Committee rejects a re-submitted application, the applicant has the right to make an appeal to the Appeal Master.
An applicant submitting an appeal will not be permitted to provide any further support of his/her application.
