IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE


Once Canada ratifies the Agreement-in-Principle, the first step in the enrolment process will be the appointment of an Implementation Committee.

This 6-person committee will consist of:

  • 3 Government of Canada -appointed representatives

    Martin Reiher
    Roy Grey
    Wilf Attwood

  • 3 FNI-appointed representatives.

    Brendan Sheppard
    Annie Randell
    Steve May

The committee’s primary responsibilities are to:

  • Supervise and manage the implementation of the Agreement-in-Principle
  • Advise on issues relating to the establishment of the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band.

Its tasks will be to:

The Implementation Committee will cease activity once the Qalipu Mi’kmaq First Nation Band is established.
